An electronic visa is available to citizens of a number of foreign countries eligible for simplified entry into the Russian Federation and allows entry into Russia through designated border crossing points.

The cost of obtaining an electronic visa is 15,500 rubles (consular fee included).
Entry Points for Electronic Visa Holders
Entry into the territory of the Russian Federation with an electronic visa is possible through the following categories of border crossing points:

- Moscow (Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, Vnukovo, Zhukovsky)
- Saint Petersburg (Pulkovo)
- Kazan
- Yekaterinburg
- Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo)

Processing Time
Electronic visa processing takes 5–6 business days.
An application may be submitted:
- not earlier than 40 days before the intended date of entry
- not later than 7 days before entry
Visa Validity Period
- The visa is single-entry
- Validity period — 120 days from the date of issuance
- Permitted duration of stay — up to 30 days from the date of entry
Required Documents
The following documents are required for obtaining an electronic visa:
1. Visa application form (sent after payment)
2. Passport information page (in JPEG format) + the last page
- a high-quality scan is required
- the passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the visa expiration date.
3. Photograph (in JPEG format):
- size 35 × 45 mm
- face must occupy at least 70%
- white background
4. Hotel booking for the period of stay in the Russian Federation and a medical insurance policy valid for the stay in the Russian Federation

After payment for the service:
- an application form is sent for completion
- the electronic visa application is submitted
